The initial mailing of invitations has been mailed....follow-up invitations will be mailed in June after plans are solid....

<br>I talked to Janice and Noel this morning.......here's a recap of what was discussed....
<br>
<br>Janice has checked with:
<br>
<br>The Senior Center in Oberon....we can get the building for the day for $35.00
<br>The Oberon School....they will arrange to have the buidling open for the day (some rooms may be locked)
<br>The Antelope Valley Church......the building is useable, but the basement kitchen would not be available. There is no running water/bathrooms....it may be possible to have a program/service, but arrangements may have to be made for cleaning prior to and after.
<br>
<br>Noel and I discussed:

<br>10:00AM.....Program/visitation at Antelope Valley Church
<br>
<br> Ring Bell at 10:00AM?
<br>
<br> Welcome/Introduction/opening prayer
<br>
<br> Opening Song: "The Old Country Church" (need volunteer musician and soloist/group, otherwise will be read as poem.)
<br>
<br> Presentation Narveson Family History (Noel)
<br>
<br> Open Microphone......opportunity to talk about family memories, family experiences, etc.
<br>
<br> Other....need suggestions!
<br>
<br> Closing Hymn/Song (need volunteer musician....everybody sing!
<br>
<br> Note: People are free to plan cemetery visits before/after the program....
<br>
<br>12 Noon......Everyone reconvene at the Senior Center building in Oberon
<br>
<br> Lunch is served! Noel suggested we contact the Ladies Aid in Oberon to see if they would be interested in providing this as a fund raiser.....good idea! Other suggestions encouraged.....
<br>
<br> There is a pretty strong rumor that OLE & LARS (and possibly LENA) may crash the party! Who knows what antics may result!
<br>
<br> Coffee, tea and soft drinks should be available throughout the afternoon, along with perhaps hors'-d'ouerves (sp?)
<br>
<br> The Oberon school should be available for tours and people are free to roam the streets of Oberon and reminesce.
<br>
<br> Noel will arrange for a Family Tree poster, family historical documents, some Oberon School annuals.....all are encouraged to bring family artifacts, historical documents, etc for display/discussion.
<br>
<br>Noel will contact Richard Peterson (Benson Country newspaper) and request an ad be printed in a couple issues prior to the reunion weekend that will invite all relatives and friends....
